Dual is a story of two brothers, Josef and Christian Steidinger, which began in early 1900 producing small watch parts in a workshop in St. Georges. They expanded into the manufacture of watch making machine tools and then, with a workforce of just 25 employees, they developed the very first Gramophone with spring drives.
Following his brother's death in 1925, Christian designed a combination of a spring and an electric motor working in tandem - the electric spring motor. This was named the 'Dual' and later became the company name.
Today the DUAL brand is well known throughout the world and has a very strong 90 year history. With a versatile program of analogue technology coupled with products from the digital world the Dual brand is being re-launched into the UK with Big Red Sales.
With a whole range of turntable products as well as an imminent expansion into new categories, Dual represent a functional quality product with a strong affordability/performance ratio.
