  • John Reddington – Managing Director

    John started his career in accountancy before joining Mars where he first learnt sales and marketing techniques. He moved to Akai as Field Sales Manager and later joined Harman International as UK Sales Manager where he was subsequently promoted to UK Sales Director.

    In 1982 John was appointed Managing Director of Ortofon UK and, after seven years, left to form his own management consultancy, JR Associates.

    In 1996 he became a major shareholder and director of Alphason Designs which was sold to a PLC in 2006. Shortly afterwards he founded Big Red Sales (see page 1 of the "NEWS" section of this website to read John's "Problem Solver" article).

  • Niels Jespersen - Director

    Niels has an extensive international background inside audio.  He started as Export Manager at the Danish Hearing Aid company Danavox.  He then joined Ortofon, where he became Director of Sales & Marketing Globally before moving to Harman International, where he became President of the International Division of the consumer group.

    After leaving Harman, Niels became Part-owner & Chairman of the Board of the Danish Speaker Company, ScanSpeak.  He participated in the sale of this company to Chinese investors.

    Niels is also involved in Digital Marketing in the global leading company Vertic A/S as a Partner & Vice Chairman of the Board.

  • Peter May – Commercial Director

    Peter’s 20 years in A.V. working with premium brands started at Philips UK where he turned the failing Independents channel into a growth success, taking the company from also rans to the number 3 brand. He was promoted to the role of Sales Director for a national accounts channel that included retail giants John Lewis, Amazon, Argos.

    Peter moved to Sennheiser UK as Sales & Marketing Director taking them to number 1 Headphones brand and through the challenging digital switchover period.  After then joining market-leader Bowers & Wilkins as Country Manager for the UK subsidiary, Peter oversaw a growth in turnover despite a declining market, launched B&W into the multi-room audio space and successfully managed the key relationship with Amazon Europe.

  • Bruce Sykes – Sales Director

    Bruce Sykes

    Bruce spent his early career in the FMCG retail sector, before moving into the Office Products industry in 1992 working for the global Office Products leader Acco Brands, where he eventually headed up sales for their UK Computer products group. In 2001 he was head hunted by the global connectivity company Belkin Components where he successfully led their UK Retail sales teams before being promoted to International Sales Manager.

    In 2008 Bruce re-joined Acco Brand as Regional Sales Director - Northern Europe for their Global Computer products brand Kensington. 

    He was subsequently promoted to European Retail Sales Director before taking up the role of Senior Sales Director EMEA in 2012 where he led multi-channel sales teams across Europe totalling around 40 staff.

  • Terry Harrison – Company Secretary / Financial Controller

    Terry Harrison

    Terry joined Big Red Sales in September 2012 bringing with him 24 years financial and secretarial experience from Champion Sparking Plug Company where he was subsequently promoted to the Board as Director and Company Secretary.

    Following this Terry had 20 years experience in consumer electronics retailing as a partner and then Managing Director of B&B Hi-Fi which at the peak employed 35 staff with an annual turnover in excess of £6 million.
